  • Summer 2025 Swim School Level 1-3B @SLP Middle School & Central

    Class is for children ages 6+ who are beginner to intermediate swimmers. Skills taught are submerging, floating, front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, diving and treading water. Testing will be done on first day if you are not sure what level. Children must be able to touch bottom of the pool (42" at the chin) to be in this class.   • Summer 2025 Adult Swim Lessons @SLP Middle School

    Designed for beginners or intermediate swimmers. Individualized instruction allows swimmers to progress at their own rate. Practice time will be included in class time.
  • Summer 2025 Adult Lap Swimming @SLP Middle School

    Please note Adult Lap Swim will be at SLP Middle School. Please use door #1 to enter the building. We hope to move to Central Early Learning Center after July 4th. No instruction is provided. You should know how to swim. Lap swim is open to adults ages 18. Please do not register online. Adult lap swim is a year - around program with varying summer hours. Payment per time can be made at the pool. Swim passes are available at the pool. Non - Senior rate ages 18+ - 61 $5.00 per time Senior rate 62+ per session $4.00 per time
  • Summer 2025 Shorty Beginner Swim Lessons @Central Early Learning Center & SLP Middle School

    This class is designed for the 3 - 6 year old who is comfortable being in the water with a teacher and hanging on the side for short periods of time. Skills include blowing bubbles, floats on front & back, submerging, and arms and legs while swimming on front and back. Small class ratio. Children will repeat this class until they can touch the bottom of our pool comfortably (42"at chin). Class may be repeated many times.     Adult Pickleball - Intermediate Instruction

    Want to take your Pickleball to the next level? We will explore the strategy of the game including court positioning, varying your shot selection, and working in tandem with your partner. You will learn the importance of "third shot drop" and bring your dinking game to the next level. We will have paddles, balls, and nets to use. Bring your own paddle if you prefer. September and October classes will be held outdoors when the weather is nice at the St. Louis Park Middle School tennis courts and in the gym at Lenox Community Center if the weather is bad. We will communicate with you directly if class is going to move indoors. Please register with an email or phone number so we can contact you. November through April classes will be held at Lenox Community Center in the gym. May classes will be held at St. Louis Park Middle School Tennis Courts only with a rain make-up day scheduled for May 29, 2025. June, July, and August classes will be held at St. Louis Park Middle School Tennis Courts and moved to the gymnasium at Lenox Community Center if the weather is not favorable for playing outdoors. If there is inclement weather on June 17, a make up class will happen on June 24 due to the Lenox gym not being available on June 17.     This program combines instruction and friendly competition, making it perfect for middle schoolers eager to learn and improve their pickleball skills. Each session includes a lesson focusing on technique, strategy, and court awareness, followed by structured matches where players can put their skills into practice. With guidance from experienced coaches, participants will develop their game while enjoying a fun, supportive, and social environment.

  • 5th-8th grade Ultimate Frisbee Camp

    This four-day camp for 5th-8th graders will be great for both new players wanting to try out the sport for the first time as well as experienced players hoping to sharpen their skills in preparation for the upcoming middle school fall season. Pro and college players from St Louis Park and Minneapolis will lead kids in drills, ultimate frisbee scrimmages and other fun games designed to improve throwing, cutting and defensive skills. No prior experience is necessary.

    This supportive and fun mental health group for middle school students has a goal to empower each student to feel more confident in their ability to navigate life's challenges by receiving emotional support, growing confidence, and building coping strategies in an encouraging, small group setting. Through a combination of group activities, educational resources, and discussions, students will focus on building their sense of self, learning communication skills, improving emotion regulation, and setting goals for their future. A parent or guardian must provide consent for participation on the attached form.     Kids Place Child Care is a year round program. Grades K-5 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Before and after school care available at your child’s school. Full-day programming on non-school days and in summer. Balanced schedule includes time for homework and outdoor play. Snack offered after school. Creative, experienced teaching staff offers fun, engaging activities for children to choose from. Focus on building friendships and becoming responsible citizens. We’ll spend the year getting ready for kindergarten by sharpening our skills in the core areas of literacy, mathematics, science and social studies. We’ll focus on building friendships and becoming more independent. Children need to be 4 years old by September 1 and toilet trained to join this class. Kids Place Full Day Preschool Rates and Fees 2025/2026 2025//2026 Non-Service Dates Applications are accepted year-round. Initial enrollment is approved on a space available basis. The children that are currently enrolled in Kids Place Preschool and turn 4 by Sept 1 are moved "up" into the YBK classrooms the next Fall first.
