Pickleball - Beginner Instruction: Get some exercise and have some fun with the fastest growing sport in the U.S. Come learn the basics of serving, dink shots, drive shots, and volleys. Learn the terminology, rules and scoring system. And why do they call it Pickleball anyway?
We will have paddles, balls, and nets to use. Bring your own paddle if you prefer.
September and October classes will be held outdoors when the weather is nice at the St. Louis Park Middle School tennis courts and in the gym at Lenox Community Center if the weather is bad. We will communicate with you directly if class is going to move indoors. Please register with an email or phone number so we can contact you.

Dr. Steve Pohlen is a long time educator at both the K-12 and University levels. He has played every racquet and paddle sport out there (tennis, racquetball, squash, ping pong, badmitten, etc.), but the pickleball addiction was too strong, and he has dedicated the last several years to advancing his skills. He likes to share his love of the sport with anyone willing to listen.
