    Calling all Crafters to participate in the 2024 St. Louis Park Senior Program Craft Fair at Lenox Community Center! Date: November 2, 2024 Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m Booth Fees (all tables will have approximately 2 feet of additional space and up to 2 chairs provided at no cost): Are you looking for a premium location? This option includes (1) 6 foot table. Cost: $60. These tables will be located near the entrance of Lenox. Do you need extra table space? This option includes (2) 6 foot tables. Cost: $45. These tables will be located the first classroom (Room 115-Craft Room) off the main entrance of Lenox. Are you looking for a standard table and space? This option includes (1) 6 foot table. Cost: $30. These tables will be located throughout the main floor of Lenox. *Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on October 11, 2024 Important Details and Reminders: - The Craft Fair will be held on the first floor at Lenox Community Center. - We will have concessions and a cash machine on site. - Lenox will provide all tables with up to 2 chairs at each station. **Bringing any additional tables or display stands that do not fit on top of or behind the provided table will not be allowed. - All vendors are responsible for hauling, setting up and taking down their product. There will be very limited assistance and carts available for set up and take down. This class provides you with a 10% savings on your automobile insurance premiums for 3 years! It is taught by a certified instructor from MN Highway Safety & Research Center and it provides the latest information in regards to driver and traffic safety, new laws, and vehicle technology.     On this trip participants will enjoy visiting Ingebretsen's Scandinavian Gifts and Foods to admire the beauty, integrity, and craftsmanship of imports from throughout Scandinavia. Shop for gift items, authentic clothing, baked goods, traditional Nordic foods, including lutefisk, and much more! After shopping at Ingebretsen's the group will go to the American Swedish Institute for a buffet lunch; the menu includes a buffet filled with Swedish meatballs, lingonberries, mashed potatoes, assorted breads and salads, coffee, and water. A tour of The Turnblad Mansion, decorated for the holiday season, will be filled with rich history dating back to 1908.

    The ACT Prep Course consists of four, three-hour, class that meet one a day each week for four weeks. This course includes diagnostic testing, instruction in time management, overcoming test anxiety, science reasoning, English strategies and review, essay writing, reading comprehension, and math strategies and review. Students enrolled in this course not only benefit from personal instruction provided by our experienced instructors, but also have free access to the online course, and may repeat the course at no extra charge.

    Pickleball - Beginner Instruction: Get some exercise and have some fun with the fastest growing sport in the U.S. Come learn the basics of serving, dink shots, drive shots, and volleys. Learn the terminology, rules and scoring system. And why do they call it Pickleball anyway? We will have paddles, balls, and nets to use. Bring your own paddle if you prefer. September and October classes will be held outdoors when the weather is nice at the St. Louis Park Middle School tennis courts and in the gym at Lenox Community Center if the weather is bad. Come join us to learn what to know about Advanced Care Planning, and what you can do to start documenting this process and making your wishes known. We will also talk briefly about what Palliative Care and Hospice provide and requirements for services. We will have presenters on hand after the presentation with materials for you to start filling out a MN Health Care Directive and to answer any questions you may have about the forms or the process.

    Adventures in Knitting

    Join us for our very own knitter's workshop! Students can choose from four projects. You bring the yarn and needles and the teacher, Lara Neel, will bring the patterns and make sure that you have a great time making a project you will treasure or love to give as a gift! This class is perfect for knitters of all levels, even if you've taken a break from knitting for several years or are trying it for the first time. If you're confused by the material list or have questions about the projects, please email Lara and she will get you started. Projects to choose from: 1. Hat (great for beginners) – about 220 yards of worsted-weight yarn and two set of size 7 needles: a 16-inch circular and double-pointed needles. 2. Slippers – about 380 yards of worsted-weight yarn and size 9 needles, any type of needle is fine. 3. Baby Sweater – about 220 yards of worsted-weight yarn and a set of size 10 needles, any type of needle is fine. 4. Mittens – about 120 yards of worsted-weight yarn and a set of size 6 double-pointed needles.

    Camp Jnana’s After-School Yoga, is an inclusive and enriching program designed for both boys and girls.
