    Using an Air Fryer to cook vegetables is quick — and the healthy results are delicious! In this class Kirsten will demonstrate a variety of recipes using in-season local and/or commonly available vegetables including Lemon Pepper Broccoli, Miso Sesame Kale Chips, and Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can follow along at your convenience. Join us online!     Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day

    Save lots of money, increase your kitchen expertise, and enjoy fresh bread every day with this simple bread dough that you store in the refrigerator and bake on your schedule. In class make a batch of dough to take home, get recipes for several artisan bread options, and sample a variety of breads. Bring a 4 quart mixing bowl with cover, a set of measuring cups and spoons, and a large mixing spoon to class. Demonstration, hands-on and tasting. You will leave class with a batch of bread dough and a warm loaf of bread that you make and bake in class. $9 supply fee payable to instructor in class. Carol Schaub, an avid “kitchen-creator”, is a skilled instructor who thinks time in the kitchen should always be a fun and creative time.

    Baklava

    Baklava is a traditional pastry dessert that is known for its sweet, rich flavor and flaky texture. Join us in this hands-on interactive class where you will cook virtually with Instructor Mimi, who is passionate about cooking. You will learn how to prepare a flavorful but easy Baklava dessert and you get to bake it in your own oven following your instructor’s guidelines.     Bodacious Brunch Buffet

    We’ll begin with tender scones riddled with fresh berries and white chocolate. The quintessential fresh fruit salad follows with a delightful sauce for dipping. Featured are both crab cakes with basil aioli and coconut shrimp with a zippy marmalade. You’ll learn to prepare quiche using a delicious combination of veggies, meats and cheeses baked in a flaky pastry crust along. Also, a twist on eggs Benedict stacking, poached eggs on brioche with black forest ham and velvety hollandaise sauce. French toast finishes this extravaganza using fresh baked croissants soaked in a rich bath of custard, sautéed to a honey brown crispness and topped with pure maple syrup and fresh whipped cream. Please note that this is demonstration class. All supplies are included in the registration fee.

We will serve this with mashed potatoes and asparagus with a cranberry vinaigrette. In this 90-minute class, join Pam as she shares tips on how to cooking fork tender chicken, crisping pancetta and making a rich Marsala sauce. This is a virtual cooking class program walking you through making one of Pam’s favorite meals to make in the early spring.     The electric pressure cooker makes a faster and more flavorful Pot of chili compared to stove top or slow cooker — and you can make your sides in the Instant Pot, too! In this live online class Kirsten will demonstrate Easy Weeknight Chili, Turkey Verde Chili, and vegan Quinoa Chili, along with Instant Pot “Baked” Potatoes and Loaded Cornbread.     Family Style Italian Cuisine

    You'll be preparing chicken cacciatore using fresh chopped garlic, sweet basil, red onion, mushrooms and capers simmered in a delightful marinara sauce. You’ll enjoy beef braciole stuffed with prosciutto ham and parmesan cheese in a savory burgundy sauce. We'll pair these delicacies with creamy, garlic mashed potatoes, tender green beans tossed in olive oil with lemon and plenty of bruschetta for dipping. We'll finish with Crème brulee, a rich, creamy custard with a caramel crust. All supplies are included in the registration fee.

    Get ideas for new recipes, new cooking techniques and tips for cooking for 1 and healthy eating on a budget! Learn how to make flavorful, healthy meal choices you can cook at home - taste them in class - and go home with the recipes. The meals are designed to be freezer-ready, shareable, and they avoid using processed ingredients. The class is geared toward those who have mobility limitations, special dietary needs, or want to learn how to eat healthy without spending a lot of money. There is no cost to attend the class, but please register in advance! This class is offered in partnership with LSS of Minnesota and FREE thanks to a Healthy Living grant from the City of St. Louis Park!

But how we eat and live can help us protect our memory and stay sharp into old age. In this stand-alone class, you will learn strategies for maintaining memory and improving brain function including how to prepare brain health promoting meals.

For Dessert we will whip up Key Lime Dessert Cups they have all the elements of a classic key lime pie – citrusy custard, toasted graham crackers and whipped cream.     Tantalizing Thai Cuisine

    You'll begin by preparing Vietnamese summer rolls served with both hoisin and peanut sauce for dipping. Vietnamese spring rolls follow made with pork, chicken, and glass noodles stuffed in rice paper, fried crispy, and served with the classic nuoc cham for dipping. You'll then prepare Pad Thai blending the vibrant flavors of Thailand with rice noodles using chicken, eggs, chilies, garlic, basil, scallions, bean sprouts, sesame oil, lemon and crushed red pepper flakes. For dessert, refreshing Thai lime custard topped with fresh whipped cream. All ingredients and supplies for this class are included in the registration fee.
