This is a 2-part class with initial styling on the first day and re-potting and additional styling on the second. This class will provide you with a tree, pot, soil and wire to start your tree. Bonsai is a fascinating art form that has been around since 30BC and is growing and changing all of the time. This hobby can keep you entertained and engaged for years to come. There is a material fee ($45 for the March class, $50 for the June class), which is paid to instructor at class. The material fee includes: pre-bonsai plant materials, pot, soil, and wire. Tools will be available at class for student use or bring your own (chops sticks, pliers (not needle nose), garden pruners, garden scissors, shears, small plastic bag or two (to transport your tree), any Bonsai tools you may own. Among the patterns the instructor will bring to try, we will practice making a non-medical mask in class. Before class begins, please make sure that you have a sewing machine in good working order, at least 2 bobbins, at least 2 sewing machine needles, the power cord and foot pedal for your machine, thread, a seam ripper, pins, fabric shears or a rotary cutter and mat, and the manual for your machine. If you don’t have a manual, we may be able to find a downloadable version online. If your machine has extra feet or tools, make sure you have them ready.Adult Enrichment 2022-2023
