Always wanted to learn to paint, but didn’t know where to start? Have you been looking for a community of supportive people to help you grow as an artist? Join this group of beginning and skilled painters to discover or enhance your style. Work in whatever medium you choose—acrylic, oil, watercolor or pastels—and learn the skills you need to enhance your art. Gain confidence in your ability to translate your subject to canvas as you strengthen your observational skills, and build a reliable process for planning and developing your voice. In this class, Instructor Suzi McCardle is available to demonstrate a variety of techniques using different mediums and offer one-on-one feedback of your work upon request. Time for you to focus on your creative process will be emphasized in this workshop. Basic art supplies are all you need. Suzi McArdle is a lifelong St. Louis Park resident and artist. From childhood, Suzi has been drawn to art. A wide range of artistic experiences and discovery helped develop her intense love of art and teaching. Students benefit from her knowledge of mediums, techniques and willing guidance. She attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and recently won a fellowship at the U of MN in Philanthropy Leadership working on a project in indigenous art. She is active in the arts community and continues her study of visual arts with other professional artists.
