Author Event: Girls in a World at War

Adult and Senior / Lifelong Learning -
Senior Program 2025-2026

Girls in a World at War shares a compelling firsthand account of young women who served in an Army hospital in France during World War II, near the Battle of the Bulge. Their experiences included caring for survivors liberated from Dachau, crossing the Atlantic, living in a castle, working alongside German prisoners of war, and witnessing historic moments such as trips to Paris and the celebration of VE Day. Author Peggy Scholberg presents her mother’s remarkable story, tracing her journey from wartime service to the publication of the book.

Books will be available for purchase.
