This program is designed to introduce young people to the art of songwriting. Through a series of creative exercises, discussions, and hands-on activities, participants will learn the fundamental elements of songwriting, including melody, rhythm, lyrics, and chord progressions. The program aims to foster self-expression, creativity, and a love of music.

I am a board certified music therapist with five years of experience in supporting and guiding youth in expressing themselves creatively though their own original songs. My Honors Bachelor of Arts in Music from Gustavus Adolphus College, my career as a music therapist, and my personal experience with songwriting and performing orginal works has prepared me to teach the skills necessary for this outlet.
