St. Louis Park Community Education

Join the St. Louis Park Police Department in collaboration with St. Louis Park Community Education Youth Enrichment Programs, and St. Louis Park Fire Department to learn how your child can be safe at home alone. This class will equip students ages 8 to 11-years-old with the basic awareness and skills to stay home alone for short periods of time. Prevention, problem-solving, and managing real-life situations will be the basis for students to learn and include basic first-aid, how to call 9-1-1 and what happens when you do, safe activities you can do while home alone, and kitchen safety. Parents and caregivers are invited to attend alongside their student, but it is not required. A Q & A session will be available for students and adults at the end of the session.
