Join us for our Spring/Summer Lunch & Learn series! Come learn about important topics for seniors and enjoy lunch on us.

The agenda for each session is as follows:

  • 11:45am-12:10pm: Lunch and Socialize
  • 12:10pm: Welcome and Introductions
  • 12:15pm-1pm: Presentation

Lunch and Learn Series Topics:

  • May 19: Unlocking the Secrets to Designing a Modern Estate Plan, sponsored by The Webb Group, Re/Max Results and presented by Ed Kaiser.
    • Learn about the fundamentals of creating a comprehensive, modern estate plan, and how legal documents like wills, trusts, powers of attorney, medical directives and transfer on death deeds can be used as tools to design a personalized estate plan and bring peace of mind and security for the future.
    • Ed Kaiser is an attorney licensed in MN, WI and NV, with over ten years of multi-jurisdictional legal practice. His expertise spans multiple practice areas, including real estate, business law, estates and trusts, litigation and dispute resolution. Ed graduated magna cum laude from both the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and William Mitchell College of Law. Ed has practiced as in-house counsel for various mid-sized Midwestern companies, and also provides legal consulting services as an attorney of record with the Integrated Trusts Systems digital estate planning platform.
  • June 23: Staying In Your Home Your Way: How Homecare Extends Your Independence, sponsored by Home Instead - Maple Grove
    • Join Jen, a Home Care Consultant from Home Instead with a decade of experience in the Senior Care Industry, to learn how personalized homecare services can help you or your loved ones live safely, comfortably, and independently wherever you call home. This session will guide you through understanding your personal independence or care plans, understanding your options in trusted care at home, knowing when it’s the right time to accept care, and choosing the right Care Professional.   • July 21: HealtheMed’s Clinic@Home: Big City Care From Your Living Room Chair – Medicaid Waiver Services, presented and sponsored by HealtheMed
    • HealtheMed supports Medicaid Waiver individuals by offering regular check-ins, daily nurse monitoring, and assistance with telemedicine visits. They collaborate with Case Managers to provide assistive technology and a dedicated team to help with health goals. Clinic@Home uses a smart TV, webcam, clinical app, and Bluetooth medical devices, tailored to individual needs, and is covered by all Medicaid Waiver types. Don't qualify for Medicaid Waivers? No worries! Come and learn anyway - you may just know someone who qualifies!
