Want to take your Pickleball to the next level? We will explore the strategy of the game including court positioning, varying your shot selection, and working in tandem with your partner. You will learn the importance of "third shot drop" and bring your dinking game to the next level. We will have paddles, balls, and nets to use. Bring your own paddle if you prefer.
September and October classes will be held outdoors when the weather is nice at the St. Louis Park Middle School tennis courts and in the gym at Lenox Community Center if the weather is bad. We will communicate with you directly if class is going to move indoors. Please register with an email or phone number so we can contact you.
November through April classes will be held at Lenox Community Center in the gym.
May classes will be held at St. Louis Park Middle School Tennis Courts only with a rain make-up day scheduled for May 29, 2025.
June, July, and August classes will be held at St. Louis Park Middle School Tennis Courts and moved to the gymnasium at Lenox Community Center if the weather is not favorable for playing outdoors.
If there is inclement weather on June 17, a make up class will happen on June 24 due to the Lenox gym not being available on June 17.

Dr. Steve Pohlen is a long time educator at both the K-12 and University levels. He has played every racquet and paddle sport out there (tennis, racquetball, squash, ping pong, badminton, etc.), but the pickleball addiction was too strong, and he has dedicated the last several years to advancing his skills. He likes to share his love of the sport with anyone willing to listen.
