Understanding Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity

Do you struggle to understand the ever-changing language and expression around sexual orientation and gender identity? We will spend 90 minutes together talking about the history and evolution of this topic and help you understand it in a way that is real and down to earth. This is a safe space where there are no silly questions and you will leave with your questions answered.

Paul Blom

A nationally known advocate for older adults and the LGBTQ+ Community, Paul received his Bachelor of Arts from Luther College and completed coursework toward his Masters of Divinity at Wartburg Theological. Since 2001 Paul and his husband, Bob, have owned and operated Right at Home Twin Cities & South Suburbs. Paul is a founding board member of Training to Serve, the curriculum to train senior service providers on the unique needs and barriers of the aging LGBT Community. Paul has trained nearly 12,000 individuals across the country and Internationally on LGBTQ+ and aging issues. Paul is Treasurer of the Minneapolis Area Senior Workers Association and Annual Fall Aging Conference as well as President of the Board of Avenues for Youth.
