Beyond book clubs and podcasts - Me and White Supremacy
Adult and Senior / Lifelong Learning -
Adult Enrichment 2020-2021
Don’t we all want to be good ancestors? Join us as we use Layla Saad’s work to guide us through creating personal and collective change in ways that leave a legacy of healing and liberation. We will explore race, identity, leadership, personal transformation and how to move into action for social change. This course spans 10 weeks with a rotating schedule of meeting online one week and off-line independent work the next. Participants will need a copy of Layla Saad’s book - Me and White Supremacy. Time commitment is about 1.5hours per week.
Ms. Saad's work guides readers to understand their whiteness and their participation in white supremacy so that they can stop (often unconsciously) inflicting damage on People of Color and, in turn, help other white people to do better too.
