Adult and Senior / Special Interest -
Adult Enrichment 2020-2021

Retirement can and should be a time where we get to use all that we have become combined with all that we are yet be to craft a life of fulfillment and purpose. That said, transition to retirement is a complex change for most people that can sometimes take years. The workplace roles and titles that have identified you as a productive person are gone and ego, identity, and a sense of purpose can take a big hit. Understanding the mythology around retirement that keeps us focused on money and insurance, while ignoring the need for re-establishing identity and purpose will give you the tools to make a conscious effort to build the post career life you have only dreamed of. Attendees can expect to leave with a box of tools to support the good work of making this major life transition feel more like stepping off a curb rather than stepping off a cliff.

Bob Koehler

Bob Koehler was a life-long entrepreneur having started 5 small companies in his career. Active and engaged he thought that retirement would come naturally and easily. Finding that it was a good deal more complicated he became consumed with the need to understand this major transition in time and spent 2 ½ years studying the topic, reading endless books, attending conferences and interviewing endless numbers of those preparing for and those already on the retirement journey. Bob is dedicated to helping others to prepare and give them the tools to begin building a new life filled with passion and purpose in their post career life.
